Charitable Work

Every year, we support a number of charitable causes.

In September, our wonderful school council and the Mini Vinnies worked really hard to put together a fantastic coffee morning which was really well attended and raised valuable funds to support the work of MacMillan. We were really proud of them.

This Harvest, we also supported the Hull Food Bank by collecting items needed to help local families. This was promoted by beautiful posters designed by our Mini Vinnies. We also collected donations for CAFOD on Family Fast Day as part of our Harvest celebrations.

For 3 years now, we have also supported the work of the Apostleship of the Sea in providing ‘woolly hats’ to seafarers at Christmas. Our families generously donate items to fill the hats so that each seafarer in the port of Hull over Christmas time is given a hat full of gifts to open on Christmas morning. Again, this appeal was promoted by our Mini Vinnies, who helped our port chaplain Anne McLaren stuff the hats full of gifts and their own specially crafted Christmas cards.

Each Lent, we continue to raise funds for Mission Together, a charity which supports children who are not as fortunate as we are. This year, the money we have collected through our giant Easter Egg tombola is going to help children in Jordan.
